Eva Meyer is a philosopher, writer and filmmaker. She has been a visiting professor at several universities and art schools. She recently held the Eberhard Berent Goethe Chair at New York University. She is the author of numerous books, including Zählen und Erzählen. Für eine Semiotik des Weiblichen (1983, reprint 2013), Frei und indirekt (2010), Legende sein (2016), Mondän werden (2023). Since 1997, she has also collaborated with Eran Schaerf on films including In the Habit. A Set Piece (1997) and Only Six Can Play This Game (2020).
