Book Launch: Burning the Days: An Exhibition (EN)
Helena Kritis, chief curator at WIELS, and Beatrix Ruf, director of the Hartwig Foundation, come together to discuss the publication Lutz Bacher, Burning the Days: An Exhibition, published by Astrup Fearnley Museet, WIELS and Roma Publications.
Together, they reflect on Bacher's relationship to publishing and exhibition making, and on the three newly commissioned essays by Kate Nesin, Juliane Rebentisch, and Emily LaBarge featured in the catalogue, each approaching Bacher's art from distinct yet intersecting perspectives.
The publication accompanies Burning the Days, the first posthumous survey exhibition dedicated to the work of Lutz Bacher, currently on view at WIELS.
