Former WIELS resident Veronika Eberhart presents HISS at AFFILIATE, a new body of work that expands on her recent solo presentation “Alles pelt zich” at KIOSK, Ghent.
Eberhart mines the carpenter’s workshop and woodworking process as an active site of reflection on personal history and how memories can become inscribed in matter. Veneer becomes a threshold between intimacy and unease, its smooth surface concealing what remains unresolved beneath.

Veronika Eberhart is an artist, musician, and researcher based in Brussels and Vienna, working at the intersection of sculpture and moving image. Her practice unfolds through speculative gestures, navigating the space between archive and fiction. With a background in sociology and fine arts, she is currently a PhD researcher in Architecture in Hasselt, Belgium.
Her work has been presented at KIOSK, Ghent, IKOB – Museum of Contemporary Art, Kunsthalle Feldbach, HKW Berlin, Kunsthalle Wien, and the MAK Center for Art and Architecture in Los Angeles. Her book Garten sprengen, published by Spector Books, accompanied her solo exhibition at IKOB.
