Toril Johannessen
Born in 1978, from Harstad, Norway, lives in Bergen. Her practice engages in scientific topics and sheds light on the metaphors and creative elements inherent to the various methods of knowledge production. Recent works and exhibitions include the book Unseeing (2014), the performance Irradiance (2013, for FRAC Champagne-Ardenne) and the exhibition Teleportation Paradigm (2013, at Unge Kunstneres Samfund, Oslo). Currently working on projects related to optics, illusions and textiles.
