Nicole Etxebarria
Nicole Etxeberria (b. 1996, Mie, Japan) is a visual artist based in Lima (Peru).
Through drawing, painting and installation, Etxeberria investigates how systems of representation produce the categories of body, knowledge and, therefore, power. Informed by ecofeminist thought, her work approaches these structures as theatrical constructions, using fiction as a critical strategy to reveal the mechanisms through which social and institutional realities are staged and sustained.
