Mehdi Görbüz
Mehdi Görbüz (born in 1997 in La Louvière, Belgium) lives and works in Paris. Combining sculpture with photography and video, he explores themes of dismissal, poetry, vulnerability, and desire.
Observing certain cultural and historical references’ dismissal and forgetfulness, he brings these symbols back to life and reintegrates them in the contemporary art realm, thus revealing the persisting traces of neocolonial relations in the Western collective imaginary.
