Maxime Jean-Baptiste
Maxime Jean-Baptiste (born in 1993) is a filmmaker, theatre maker and film programmer.
His work delves into archives and the form of the reenactment to conceive a living, embodied memory. Kouté vwa (2024) is his first feature film, and had its world premiere at Locarno FF (Special Jury Award), and was released in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg during the summer of 2025. He has created several theatre productions, mixing theatre, dance and song for festivals and art institutions.
