Nathyfa Michel
Nathyfa Michel (born in 1994 on Réunion Island) lives and works in Guyana. As a self-taught artist, she integrates archives, dreams, and writing into her photographic approach to question the circulation of legacies in colonial history.
In search of a reinvented “home”, she creates hybrid imaginaries. Her work explores the memory of living things: where bodies, minerals, and plants become spaces in which transmission and healing are reactivated.
Residency supported by Ambassade de France, Alliance française and Institut français.
