Aza Mansongi (born in 1980 in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo) is a visual artist. Her work articulates around questions of memory and identity, through an exploration of the everyday lives of popular neighbourhoods in her home country, in Africa, and around the world.

Her preferred medium is easel painting, but she also explores different creative forms and media. In her paintings, Aza often incorporates paper and fabric collages as symbols of hope and reconstruction. Through a meticulous observation of globalised society, Aza Mansongi offers deep reflections, rooted in her home country’s social realities and its contemporary society.
