On Sunday 13 September, WIELS, Rosas and the Mercatorfonds will launch the catalogue of the exhibition Work/Travail/Arbeid. During this presentation, the choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and WIELS director Dirk Snauwaert will talk about the publication and reflect on the project together with the Rosas dancer Michaël Pomero and Ictus pianist Jean-Luc Plouvier.
The catalogue, published by WIELS, Rosas and the Mercatorfonds on the occasion of the exhibition, is in four parts. The first two (which were already available during the first series of exhibitions in spring 2015) introduce Work/Travail/Arbeid and trace the preparations for the project, while the last two (which are being published now, to complete the catalogue) examine the exhibition itself in greater depth. The catalogue contains a reissue of the original Vortex Temporum programme book, photographic documentation by Babette Mangolte, Herman Sorgeloos and Anne Van Aerschot, drawings by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, and new essays by Douglas Crimp, Bojana Cvejić, Brian Dillon, André Lepecki and Catherine Wood.
This book launch is taking place in the framework of the Theatre Festival.
