Dyslexia – chunking along a straight line – at the crossing turn left is a book containing experimental layouts and fonts designed by Swiss graphic designer Salome Schmuki. The book follows the idea that there isn't one single typeface or layout as an easy solution for one and all reading difficulties. The texts, typeset in different ways, are a combination of literature from scientific sources, interviews she has conducted with dyslexic readers, and her own reflections on the complex aspects of language encountered by dyslexic and non-dyslexic readers. The book presents a developing approach to the topic which she has been researching since 2005.
