Isabelle Guérin is a socio-economist and a research director at the IRD and CESSMA, affiliated with the French Institute of Pondicherry. She co-founded and co-directs the Observatory of Rural Dynamics and Social Inequalities in South India. She has published numerous works on the financialisation of inequalities, the resistance it provokes, and research methods that bring lives and statistics into dialogue.
