We wanted to build an exhibition around the "aesthetics of location" mainly,
but also included into this framework are the elements of interiors,
and the objects that come into, and out of this created space.
While location is the main touchstone here, the related concepts of proximity and nearness reside there as well.
On a fundamental level, proximity relates to location,
but more specifically, the proximity of our studios to one another,
the works in relation to each other (this relates back to our video presented at Wiels),
and then past that, into the city. This layering, the aesthetic layering of location,
is tinted perhaps by the feeling of estrangement, of objects and practice taken out of their
"natural" environments, and into a new chosen location.
