Marie Zolamian (b. 1975, Beirut (LB)) lives and works in Liège. She studied visual arts at the Royal Academy of Liège and at La Cambre in Brussels. Zolamian is currently working on the design for a new 76m2 mosaic that will be installed on the floor of the peristilium, at the entrance of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp, in the autumn of 2021. Recent (solo) exhibitions include: Untitled, Galerie Nadja Vilenne, Liège (2019); Bienvenue, Mu.ZEE, Ostend (2018); Paroles à Boire, Musée le Carroi, Chinon (2017); The Mayor of Veurne, EMERGENT, Veurne (2015); Listen Your Eyes, Contemporary Art Biennial of Dakar, Dakar (2014).
Vanessa Desclaux is currently responsible for the “pôle des attentions” (outreach and cultural programmation) at the Frac Nouvelle Aquitaine MECA in Bordeaux. She was a teacher in arts history at the academy of Dijon from 2011 to 2019 and acquired a PhD in Curating at the Goldsmiths faculty of London University. As an author and curator, she has worked at Tate Modern and at Bloomberg Space in London and she collaborated with many institutions like De Appel (Amsterdam), Saint Léger Park (Modern art Center of Pougues-les-Eaux), Le Frac Bourgogne (Dijon), La Galerie (Centre d’art contemporain de Noisy-le-Sec) or Le Grand Palais in Paris.
