Author of the recent monograph dedicated to Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Reverie, Its Practice and Means of Display (2022), Marie Canet traces the developments in the artist’s practice since the 1970s. In this lecture, she focuses on his 1972 installation Celebration? Realife, the seminal work presented in Chaimowicz’s exhibition at WIELS.

Marie Canet is an author and curator. She teaches aesthetics at the Villa Arson. She is currently co-curator of the Molinier rose salmon exhibition on Pierre Molinier at FRAC MECA in Bordeaux.
