Zoë Gray (°1978, UK) lives and works in Brussels. Since September 2023, she is Director of Exhibitions at Bozar, Centre for Fine Arts. At Bozar, she has programmed exhibitions of John Baldessari, Berlinde De Bruyckere and the group show When We See Us curated by Koyo Kouoh (all 2025). She has curated Nina Beier’s solo exhibition Real Estate (2025) and co-curated the exhibition Love is Louder (2024). Gray also launched the new series of annual commissions, Bozar Monumental, beginning with a work by Michael Beutler (2025) to be followed by Delcy Morelos (2026).
Previously, Gray was senior curator at WIELS (2015-2-23), where she curated exhibitions of Marc Camille Chaimowicz, Shezad Dawood, Shimabuku, Kasper Bosmans, Saâdane Afif, Thao Nguyen Phan, Erik van Lieshout, among many others.
Gray previously worked in France as artistic director of the Rennes Biennale (2014) and as project manager for the LUMA Foundation in Arles (2012-2013). She also worked as a curator at Kunstinstituut Melly (formerly known as Witte de With) in Rotterdam (2006-2012) and has organized several international exhibitions as a guest curator across Europe.
She writes regularly on contemporary art, most recently in the monographs of Alexis Blake (2026) and Ria Verhaeghe (2025). She is a member of CIMAM (International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art) and IKT (International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art), where she was also vice-president from 2011 to 2014. Gray studied at the University of Cambridge and Goldsmiths College, University of London.
