Since 2020, Wim Waelput has served as the director of La Loge, a Brussels-based venue dedicated to contemporary art, architecture, and theory. From 2006 to 2020, he held the position of founding director and curator at KIOSK, a contemporary art center affiliated with the KASK School of Arts in Ghent. During this time, Waelput curated over 40 exhibitions, including Thea Djordjadze's solo exhibition Quiet Speech in Wide Circulation (2011), and the group exhibition Vibrant Matter (2015), featuring the artist's work. Additionally, he has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at various universities and art schools. Waelput has actively contributed to the art community, participating in acquisition committees, juries, and advisory boards.
