As an engaged participant of the Ho Chi Minh City art scene for many years, Céline Alexandre provides insight into the exhibition Monsoon Melody through her in-depth knowledge of the Vietnamese contemporary art world.
Céline Alexandre came back to Brussels in 2019 after having lived in Vietnam for 10 years. For seven of those years, she was the associate director of Galerie Quynh in Ho Chi Minh City, one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Southeast Asia. During that time, she was exposed to the lively contemporary art scene in Vietnam and became well-versed in the practice of Vietnamese artists working in the region and globally. Currently, she is the director of Fondation H&S, a private collection of Vietnamese paintings that will open to the public in early 2020.
