Accompanied by artist Katherine Longly, they took part in artistic workshops on the theme of travel. Each week the workshop was the occasion for them to share their memories and their dreams, to evoke the journey that led them from their countries of origin to Belgium, but also the trips they would love to make … Over the course of the artistic experimentations that were proposed to them, they gradually appropriated new tools of expression: drawing, photography, engraving, embroidery and more.
This series of workshops concluded in the spring with a trip to Paris: a dream come true for these women who have had few or no opportunities to leave their neighbourhood and to forget their daily obligations. An emancipatory and learning experience, rich in emotions.
