The Silence and The Noise of Conversation by Franck Ancel (FR)
In Latvian, to run is pronounced ‘skRIEN’; this is the title of the first disk of AH AH AH éditions*’s new LSDLC collection – The Silence of Conversation.
For the simultaneous launch of the new opus LBDLC >< of The Noise of Conversation collection in Brussels (WIELS) and Paris (Salon MAD), Franck Ancel will leave the publishers’ stand at Maison Rouge on the Saturday to run the Brussels Marathon on the Sunday morning and come back by 17.00 for a presentation of the project in Paris, horizon beyond disciplines which gives a glimpse of “Le Rayon Vert”.
24 hours before the presentation in Paris, Franck Ancel invites you to discover this collection of objects-disks (vinyls) at WIELS Bookshop on Saturday October 1st. It is inspired by the concept of Pecha Kucha and through it, sound becomes image, between text and music. Each disk of the collection has two sides, one of text (20x20seconds) and one of music, each either 6’40” or 3’20”.
Please come to listen and exchange about these tracks, which cross Walter Benjamin and Marcel Duchamp, Frederick Kiesler and Enrique Vila-Matas, Vincent Epplay and Christian Zanési. You will also discover the Rayon Vert vintage (a natural wine by Philippe Wies, Domaine de la Petite Baigneuse at Maury, France), a limited edition of 70, which goes with the LBDLC disk and a photo by Denise Bellon.
*AH AH AH éditions is a structure for the production, broadcasting and publishing of artists’ multiples founded by Franck Ancel and Baptiste Houssin in 2013.
In the Bookshop, at 5pm (in French).
