Jef Geys & the Vegetable Garden (FR/NL)
During the last weekend of the exhibition You don't see what you think you see by Jef Geys, WIELS organises a special tour of the exhibition focusing on Jef Geys as a gardener and nature lover. Jef Geys is known for his famous Seed Bags, Quadra Medicinale or the Middelheim project, in which he addressed issues of nature and ecology. The artist was also involved in the reflections around the creation of the neighbourhood vegetable garden next to the art centre, at the initiative of WIELS in 2007.
On this special tour, you will explore Geys' vision of art and nature in the company of an enthusiastic guide. Conclude your visit with a snack and a drink in the garden at the neighbourhood party organised by the non-profit association Medina.
