Former WIELS resident Dareen Abbas presents a new body of work in AFFILIATE, a space in the city center where alumni of the WIELS Residency Programme present their recent projects.
Previous Episode is an ongoing, unfinished series of drawings that revisits, recalls, thinks through, and reflects on images of Syrian cities as they were/are broadcast on Syrian National television. The works engage with these mediated images as fragments of memory, moving between representations of the past and projections of the future.
