Mireille Hildebrandt is a tenured Research Professor on 'Interfacing Law and Technology' at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels. Her research explores the implications of artificial agency for the tenets of constitutional democracies. In addition, she is Professor of Smart Environments Data Protection and the Rule of Law at the Faculty of Science, Radboud University Nijmegen’. In the framework of Simon Denny’s exhibition at WIELS, she will speak about her recent book Smart Technologies and the End(s) of Law. Novel Entanglements of Law and Technology (Edward Elgar, 2015).
