After the End: conversation between GAGARIN’s Wilfried Huet and Mariana Castillo Deball (EN)
Founded in the millennium year 2000, the independent artists’ magazine GAGARIN is a unique project that collects and documents original texts by contemporary artists from across the world. Aimed at those who appreciate art and ideas before they are accepted and synthesized, GAGARIN wants to publish their writings in an unfiltered way.
All texts are printed in their original language and alphabetical script, complemented with translations in English. Visual material is deliberately kept out. GAGARIN recently completed its series of 33 issues after sixteen years, which have now been collected into a box. Contributing artist Mariana Castillo Deball will engage in a conversation with founding publisher and editor Wilfried Huet about the coming into being of GAGARIN, its aims, the artists, their contributions and what the future holds in store.
