These extraordinary times make us keenly aware of our own vulnerability and the limit of our understanding. We are witnessing the emergence of new more sensitive perspectives, filled with empathy, and seeing again how art and creative gestures can help us to look after one another and widen our imagination.
In 2021, WIELS develops ambitious exhibitions, plans debates on key questions, and provides
a home for artists-in-residence, as well as curating a new programme
of performances, accompanied by a whole raft of outreach schemes.
