Larisa Sitar (b. 1984) lives and works in Bucharest. In 2008 she graduated from the Department of Photography and Moving Image of The National University of Arts in Bucharest, where she also took a Master's Degree in 2010.

In her work she investigates issues of cultural heritage, local values, national identity, memory and nostalgia, making use of different media (photography, video, installations, drawing, object).
