Dareen Abbas (°1989) grew up and lived in Damascus, Syria. Lives and work in Brussels, Belgium.

Abbas’ practice is concerned with archetypal imagery and how it can be re-worked and transmitted to sculpture, video and drawing. Major part of her practice revolves around the question of how sculpture can be done in a cinematic approach, taking place on the borders between scenography and sculpture.
