CANCELLED - Mind Pictures: Une conférence de Christoph Ruys sur l’oeuvre de Wolfgang Tillmans (NL)
Christoph Ruys was 17 years old when he discovered the work of Wolfgang Tillmans in i-D magazine. 30 years later, he still considers the artist's work as a condition for truly understanding the relevance and timeliness of photography, as the oldest of the new media.
Christoph Ruys is the former director of the FotoMuseum and the FashionMuseum in Antwerp. He has organized exhibitions with Craigie Horsfield, Erwin Olaf, Roger Ballen, William Klein, Anton Corbijn, Paul Seawright, Guy Bourdin, Albert Watson and Ed Van der Elsken, among others. As an editor, he has published monographs for Daniel Sannwald, Yohji Yamamoto, Vincent Fournier and Serge Leblon, among other artists. As freelance writer and curator, he currently focuses on photography, screen culture and contemporary iconography.
