Valérie Mannaerts (b. 1974 in Brussels) and Koenraad Dedobbeleer (b. 1975 in Halle) live in Brussels. Both are interested in the interplay between spatial objects, architectural interventions and design. In their artistic practices, they both often deal with questions around the sensory perception and the physical qualities of things, such as for instance the modification of dimensions or the usage of specific materials.
In 2008 and 2009, Koenraad Dedobbeleer and Rita McBride showed their works together in three connected exhibitions: Tight: Repeating Boredom at FRAC Bourgogne in Dijon, Hall at Kunsthalle Bern, and Privaatat Mu.ZEE in Oostende.
