Six years ago, Regina invited Ana to her first solo show in Germany, which she curated with Miguel Wandschneider at the Temporary Gallery in Cologne. Well-versed in Ana Jotta's artistic influences—from Harry Everett Smith to Cézanne and the duo Straub–Huillet—and familiar with many works featured in the exhibition, Regina Barunke will draw from her personal experiences with the artist, including a memorable visit to a Cologne flea market.
BIO I Regina curated the artist's first solo presentation in Germany in 2018 together with Miguel Wandschneider: DAS - IST - DAS ? at the Temporary Gallery/Centre for Contemporary Art, Cologne. Today she is head of publications at the MUSEUM MMK FÜR MODERNE KUNST in Frankfurt am Main.
