Alexander Streitberger is Professor of art history at the Université Catholique of Louvain-la-Neuve and Director of the Lieven Gevaert Research Centre for Photography, Art and Visual Culture. He co-edits the Lieven Gevaert Series, a collection of books dedicated to the history and theory of photography. His research fields and his publications deal with the relation between image and language in art, the place of photography in the arts and the contemporary visual culture, as well as of the panorama and other immersive devices in the digital era.
